MEET THE OWNERS
We are Brian and Kelly Korte and are the proud owners of 3|17 Korte Bernedoodles located in Lebanon, Ohio on 5 beautiful acres.
We started the business in January 2020 with the purchase of our two adorable F1 Bernedoodle females.
Brian is a veteran of the United States Air Force and currently a supervisor at a local manufacturing facility.
I am a former Kindergarten teacher and now run KBD full time while raising our 5 beautiful children.
We are both alumni of Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana.
We moved to Lebanon, Ohio in January 2020 with the dream of building a breeding program dedicated to raising Bernedoodles that are empowered and equipped to enter the world as a service dog or family companion.
BEHIND THE NAME
3|17 Korte Bernedoodles was founded and named to align with the Bible verse, Colossians 3:17.
"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus."
God is at the center of our family. He is our constant, our provider, our forgiver, and our Father. We wanted our business name to have meaning that was attached to our faith.
Throughout our marriage, moving across the country twice, multiple job changes in our careers, loss of dear family members, bringing 5 children into the world, raising 5 children in an uncertain world, leaving my teaching carrier to pursue my dream of being a stay at home Mom, financial burdens, and then starting a business, there is one thing constant in our lives and that is God. Through all the trials, moments of joy, and moments of loss, God remains faithful and good.
Our desire is to live like Christ. We are called to be a light for the World. We often fall short of this calling but continue to improve and rely on God for strength and wisdom in all we do.
With every family that we are blessed to meet and interact with, KBD will strive to do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
