THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN F1 vs F1B
Our F1 Bernedoodles are 50% Bernese Mountain Dog and 50% Poodle.
Our F1B Bernedoodles are 75% Poodle and 25% Bernese Mountain Dog.

F1B Bernedoodles are the most hypoallergenic.
Low-to non-shedding generation that is safe for most people with dander allergies.

BERNEDOODLES GENERATION FACTS
We specialize in breeding only tri colored puppies.
Our F1 litters are all traditional tri colored (black back), while our F1B puppies range from traditional tri colored (black back) and nontraditional tri colored (black and white back). All of our puppies are tri colored regardless of their generations. Each puppy varies in the amount of rust on their cheeks, eyebrows, and legs.

The life span of a Bernedoodle is 12-14 years.

The health of a Bernedoodle is dependent on the health/genetic testing of each puppy parent and not the generation of the puppy.

F1 & F1B coats both require regular grooming and weekly brushings to prevent matting.

Our F1 puppies have a straight to slightly wavy coat while our F1B puppies range from straight-curly coats.

Our F1 & F1B puppies are genetically furnished and have low to extremely low shedding.

Allergy friendliness depends on each individual’s allergies. We highly suggest any families with allergies to lean towards selecting a F1B puppy.

The temperament of a puppy is dependent on the puppy rather than the generation.
BERNEDOODLES SIZES
At KBD we specialize in breeding Medium (45-65lbs) Bernedoodles and Standard (65lbs+) Bernedoodles.
We are looking forward to adding Mini (25-45lbs) Bernedoodles in 2025.
Sizing is an estimate based on each parent’s weight and previous litters’ adult weight.
COLORS & MARKINGS
We are one of the very few breeders who successfully breed tri colored Bernedoodle puppies who maintain their intense coloration. Tri colored puppies that maintain their beautiful phantom points (rust color) are highly sought after.
Most breeders charge extra for tri colored puppies. AT KBD, all of our puppies are the exact same cost regardless of their markings.
Bernedoodles are gentle giants who love interacting with children of all ages.
